The Mermaid Sword

The four Harpers accepts this guarding mission, and embarks upon the Mermaid Sword which has been hired to transport the weapons.
The Mermaid Sword is captained by Veldyrina Flaenitar, a former pirate. She has a crack crew and a good first mate in Arenthor, a grim-looking man. The Harpers are not the only passengers, they are to travel with Marnagon Dageus, a fat merchant with lousy nerves, the three lovely sisters Darenta, Sareena, and Chiselda, and finally the strange beak-nosed Hessalo Avrein, a seed-collector ("?").

The journey to the Moonshaes goes rather quickly, taking only seven days with the aid of a very strong eastern wind. However, the journey is not uneventful.
On the third day (30th of Tarsakh), they are attacked by pirates under the command of a sorceress. Despite heavy use of magic by the sorceress (and causing almost everyone on the Mermaid Sword to believe that they are attacked by a ghost-ship), the Harpers manages to defeat the pirates without many losses to the Mermaid Swords crew. The sorceress pirate captain changes shape into a shark and disappears into the dark waters of the Trackless Sea.
The next day passes uneventful, until night settles. Then the Sword is attacked by undead, and this time the crew suffer heavy losses, albeit the Harpers manages to destroy everyone of the undead.
They are forced to help sail the ship from now, but the voyage lasts for three more days, when they anchor in Aithelar.
