Dark Druid
Into Myrloch Vale
The gate takes them to the foothills of the mountains, and they are shown a secret way into Myrloch Vale, a tunnel that goes through the mountains. However, as they march on, they discover the bodies of several giant spiders and some bodies of cultists. Everyone fears that they are too late.
During this passage, a mage amongst the local Harpers recieve a magcal sending that tells of a large cult force heading for the tunnel as well. They part with the four Harpers, and turns back to deal with this problem, whilst the four Harpers are the only hope to defeat the Dark Druid at the Moonwell.
They arrive at the Moonwell as the sunīs last rays disappear behind the mountains. As they near the Moonwell, they hear chanting and see several huge shapes. Giants, and behind the giants they see someone levitating above a pool. A dark mist arises from the ground around the pool, and before the Harpers eyes, they see how the grove turns from a green and growing place into a bare clearing with sick trees and dead grass. The Dark Druid is still levitating as two Priests brings forward
the sacrifice that will allow the Great Tyrant to return to Toril.
The Harpers reacts fast, and manages to rescue the woman held by the priests. However, the Dark Druid screams to his lower priests and they all sacrifice themselves to complete the ritual.
A dark hole surrounded by lightning appears above the pool, and something steps through. A large blackskinned humanoid with green flashing eyes stands in front of the Harpers and the surprised Dark Druid. Bellowing "I am the Doom of All, I am the Godson and power", he raises his hands into the sky.
The Dark Druid disappears with a smile toward the Harpers, who are the only one to meet the Godson. They managed to defeat the Godson, but only by banishing him back to the Outer Planes with the aid of the Torc of Power they had found in Darkhorn Castle. Lyam was saved from the draining powers of the Godsonsīs scimitar, by Richards magic, the Oakheart magic he had cast earlier. But his host-tree died from the scimitars dark magic, and he was weakened a bit by this.
When everyone had calmed down a bit, they checked out the woman they had rescued. She was alive, but drugged. By her clothing and her signet ring, they deducted that she must be the High Queen. They found a strange-looking ring on her finger, and when Lethallien removed the ring, a mage appeared next to the woman only a few seconds later. He wielded a wand threatingly against the Harpers, grabbed the woman and disappeared by magic.
The four Harpers began debating what to do next, and to relax a bit, when suddenly a gate opens in a tree and a large group of people stepped through. They learned quickly that this was the druids and the Harper band that had met up with cultists at several other places. The Dark Druid had fooled the druids that he was to come with a large retinue, and they had thus attacked what they believed was his force.
The four Harpers was ignored completly, as the druids was lamenting the defiled Moonwell. At this moment Flamsterd the Archmage stepped forward. He filled in the blanks for the four Harpers of what had happened, and that thanks to them they had saved the Moonshaes from a fate worse than death.
When they had learned what was to learn, he asked after the Torc of Power and recieved it. He then aided the four back to Alaron, by another gate, and they found themselves looking upon the capital of the Moonshaes, Caer Callidyr.
Lyam, Callista and Richard decides that they should take a name, as this will surely spread to the mainland, and that it is better the name of an adventuring group is well-known than only their names.
