The Streets of Aithelar

When the crates has been loaded upon wagons, the only thing remaining to do is to guard them to Aithe Keep. The small caravan of open carts move slowly through the streets, but everything seems quiet, until they reach the center of the small village.
Then the ambush closes. A huge wagon is moved in front and rear of the caravan, blocking the street. Archers appears upon the roofs, filling the air with arrows. Three score of tough-looking men appear out of the alleys, trying to steal the crates.
Here the Harpers act wisely and effectively. They use their magic and steel to their best advantage. At first it seems that they are to win easily, but the battle evens out when two priests of the dead power Bane appears and aids the thugs. The Harpers manages to kill one priest and captures the other as he tried to escape.
When they count the crates afterwards, they discover that they lost only one crate in the ambush. They also interrogates the priest of Bane and learns some tidbits about the Risen Cult of Bane, although the priest does not tell much and keeps taunting them. Richard looses his patience and kills the priest, with no objections from the others.
After this battle, they make it to the Keep and delivers their cargo to the Haembar "Hawkenhound" Cauldyth, Lord of Aithe.
