DEFINITELY 2ND EDITION: Although anyone with any input should feel free to add thier own likes and decisions when it comes to Psionics.
Also since this isn't necessarilly new game material whoever needs to can move it to an appropriate locations when they review it. If this is where all 2nd edition posts are to be made then perhaps an addition title change is in order.
I was just giving information to someone else that was requested it in a post to another thread. It was respondint to Kev1270 indirect request to review the Potion Miscibilty table.
To the point,
My question to you all is what is your favorite psionc Science or Devotion and if you have one post a novel use of it??
I personally like the Split Personality Meta Psionic Science in the Psionic Handbook. You can access two psionic powers at the same time. The second mind isn't limited to psionics though, so I would often use the second one to set off hanging spells, spell triggers, and magic items. It is totally independent and can target foes in the same veiwing area that the second Psionic power is being used in.
No you can't get that thief sneakin up behind you, that is unless you are using a vision enhancing spell or psionic power.
Have a great day,

Have everyone roll their dice before the adventure and tick them off one by one, it helps speed up the game and allows the DM more time to think on his feet.

I have always disliked psionics in the campaigns where PCs have used it. It always comes across as very unbalanced and is full of loopholes that are easily exploited by alert players.
Case in point a permantly invisible PC with perfect flight who seemed to have an unlimited number PPE Points (or whatever they're called)and fireballs (or fireball-like psionics). Not fun to play in the same party as that.
Keep psionics for the mind flayers. |
DM: How are your hitpoints? Barbarian: Fine, nevermind. DM: Annnd... your rage has ended. Barbarian: Oh, I'm dead then. |

I see Tiburon's point, but you can add rules to them and even them out. My favorite? Inertial Barrier. So nice to keep things like missiles at bay!!!
