Hello all,
Is it just me, or does this series look a bit too much like the "War of the Spider Queen" books? Instead of the Clerics losing their spells from Lolth, the wizards are losing theirs from the Faerzress (spelling?)... I am liking the books, but not exactly dying for the next one to come out.

I haven't read a new realms-novel in a very long now, so Im woefully behind on what is happening on that front. I take it that this new trilogy/series is written by R.A. Salvatore, or? (Im too lazy to check it up myself atm ;))

They are a direct follow-up to that series, starting with Halisstra after the events in the last WotSQ book.

While I see the point that DariusWhiteplume is making, the two different crisis ididn't feel all that simular to me. While I agree that I'm not liking the Penitant series at the same level as I liked WotSQ, it's not because the plots are too alike. I think I'm just burned out on drow right now.
